I’m not quite certain how December showed up so quickly but it did. It is one of my favorite months of the year because it brings the magic of the season. I love the wonder and awe. I was reading through my Bloglovin’ feed as I often do mid week to prepare for my Blogger Love post for Meagan’s link up and I saw everyone’s December goals. I love reading everyone’s goals and I am inspired by them. I thought today would be a perfect time to share my goals as well as some of my favorite posts from this week.
Usually at this point in my goals posts I would revisit the past month’s goals and share whether or not I had accomplished said goals. However I am veering off course this month. My sole goal for December is to show up to this space, post what I want, and enjoy it. I don’t want the added pressure of having to meet standards I am setting for myself because those standards involve extra work.
I am not being lazy. Not at all. What I am doing is stepping away from striving and just being. I want to relax and enjoy the holidays. I want to savor the moments in between the chaos of everyday life. I want to take part in the traditions that mean the most to me. I will be blogging through the holidays however I won’t be pressuring myself to do more, be more, or give more of myself to this space. I will give what I can and when I can. Rest assured that if I’m not here I’m off enjoying my family, my friends, and the holidays…as we all should be.
Meet me back here in January and I will revisit my November goals and share some goals I have for this space in 2016.
