Last month I posted for the very first time goals that I wanted to accomplish in July. It was my way of putting my hopes and plans out there and counting on accountability to make me work extra hard at making those goals become realities. I went into it with great intentions, yet knew to be realistic. I wholeheartedly embraced a concept my blogging friend Amy shared once. Ever hear of goals with grace? I hadn’t either but I loved that it allowed me the leeway to strive to make my goals but at the same time it allowed for the fact that knowing I had tried would be good enough as well. I think with all of the pressures we place on ourselves nowadays, we can all use a little more grace in our lives. On that note. here’s my goals recap.
Bullet Journaling: Sort Of
I bought a journal, a nice Moleskin one with grid pages. I set it up, was excited to begin and did it for a few days but then forgot about it. I love the concept of it and perhaps just need to spend a bit more time with it and work at making it part of my daily routine.
Media Kit: Complete
This took a bit of research into figuring out what I wanted to include. This will constantly be a work in progress as I hope to update it with current stats each month. I will be tweaking it more and perhaps down the road using a template or hiring it out but for now it works. You can see my media kit here.
Giveaway: Planning Stages
I have decided to do quarterly giveaways so I will be planning one soon. Looking forward to getting this off the ground!
Revise Sponsorship Options: Complete!
Done! I am happy with the sponsorship options I came up with and have had sold some of those new ads. I’m looking forward to getting feedback form the bloggers when their months are up to see if further tweaking needs to be done. You can read about the new options here (and yes, the promo codes still work!).
Fix SEO/Graphics on Past Posts: Nope!
I had the best intentions. The problem? Time! Blogging in summer is hard. I’m doing all I can to stay current and maybe even a little ahead. Going back to old posts wasn’t even on my radar this past month. I think perhaps that’s going to be a fall or winter goal.
Continue to Grow in Pinterest
Last month I increased my followers by over 180. I would love to see this trend continue. I am going to be on the conservative side and say that I would be content with getting 75 new followers. I also want to increase the number of pinners I follow. To me, Pinterest is all about learning and inspiring. More pinners in my feed equals more info and inspiration for me!
Resume Font Posts
I know my font posts weren’t my readers favorites but sometimes we have to do what we enjoy as well. I miss sharing new fonts that I have found so I will plan on doing one font post in August.
Create Graphic Templates
I would love to have more templates readily available for my blog graphics instead of always having to create new ones. I’d like to create a few to have as back ups. D0 you use blog graphic templates? Part of me loves having the opportunity to be creative with them but the other part of me would love to free up some time as well.
I participated in my first Twitter chat last week (#ellechat) and loved it. Meeting new bloggers and hearing their thoughts and opinions was wonderful. This month I’d like to participate in at least two more Twitter chats.
I’d like to do another collaboration with another blogger. I have one in the works and I am trying to come up with an idea to work with another one of my blogger friends. Hopefully an idea will come to us soon!
I just want to take a moment, and show some gratitude; after all it is Grateful Heart Monday with Ember Grey. I am grateful for this space I have created and for the boundaries it has forced me to push within myself. I am grateful for my readers that show up and follow along. I am also extremely grateful for the encouragement that I get from my fellow bloggers. It’s nice knowing that there’s always someone there with a kind word, a helpful tip, and an ear to listen when I need it most. What are you grateful for today?
