One of the best parts of winter, in my opinion, is the cocoa. It’s perfect on a cold, snowy day. Adults and kids alike seem to enjoy it. Setting up a cocoa bar has become my go to treat for parties where we have children invited. Cocoa bars are great for holiday gatherings, birthday parties, classroom parties, sledding parties…anywhere where you have a crowd! The best part of a cocoa bar? The possibilities are endless!
Cocoa Bar
What You Will Need
- Cocoa
- Mugs
- Water Source (we used our Keurig as we did;t have to worry about boiling water when the water ran out)
- Toppings and Mix Ins
- Stirrers
How To
We opt to set our bar up in its own area. It has the potential to get a bit messy so be prepared. Use small decorative bowls for your toppings and mix ins.
Some possible topping ideas:
- Andes Thin Mint chips
- Peppermint Chips
- Butterscotch Chips
- Peanut Butter Chips
- Cherries
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Marshmallows
- Whipped Cream
- Hot Fudge
- Salted Caramel Sundae Topping
Kids may enjoy using candy canes or Pirouette cookies to stir their cocoa. It gets the job done and tastes extra sweet too.
